Remote Desktop Connection

Whether I like it or not, I still need to use a Windows machine. Every now and then, there's always something a Windows machine can do better than my precious P3(a)r|. That, and most of my music collection sits on my desktop.

Sometimes, I like to sit in at my dining table and work. And why shouldn't I? There's a lot more space, and I tend to have a girl who's willing to do my every bidding (*ducks*) when I'm in there.

Problem is, most of my music is in the room, on good old RoadRunner, and I'm out here. Not to mention RoadRunner has been playing Fragma's "You Are Alive" one too many times.

So, instead of going into the room and changing the track, I'll just fire up Remote Desktop Connection (RDC from now on), log into my box, and change it to Dune's "Dark Side of the Moon".

At this point, you probably think its a lazy man's app. Not quite. While I'm at school, I can also login into my box, if I need to find a file. Its come in handy when I needed to type a paper I 'accidently' left at home.

Not to mention, if you know a certain someone who sleeps in, just leave the computer on. Log in from school, and play DJ Tiesto's Remix of Southern Sun. Provided you leave the speakers on at full blast. WARNING: Don't expect to live after performing this act.

*flutters away with his angel wings*

CAUTION: This is a Microsoft app, and could very well set your mac on fire. No really.*

*OK, I'm kidding, it won't.
